keeep ("we", "our", or "us") is a personal finance app that helps you track expenses, income, and budgets. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

          Short version: Your financial data is yours. We store
          it locally on your device and optionally sync it to a secure cloud
          database linked to your account. We never sell your data or share it
          with advertisers.
        

1. Information We Collect

Account information

Email address (used to create and identify your account)
Encrypted password (stored securely via Supabase Auth — we never see your plain-text password)

Financial data you enter

Expense and income records (amount, date, category, notes)
Budget settings and profiles
Custom categories you create
Savings goals and progress
Recurring transaction templates

App preferences

Currency selection
Theme preference (light / dark / system)
Biometric lock setting
Active budget profile

We do not collect location data, contacts, camera images, browsing history, or any data unrelated to the app's functionality.

2. How We Use Your Data

To provide the core features of the app (expense tracking, budgets, goals)
To sync your data across devices when cloud sync is enabled
To restore your data if you reinstall the app or change devices
To send transactional emails (password reset, email verification) — no marketing emails

3. Data Storage

Local storage
All your financial data is stored first on your device using a local SQLite database (Drift). The app works fully offline; cloud sync is optional.

Cloud storage
If you enable cloud sync, your data is uploaded to Supabase, a secure cloud database platform. Your data is protected by row-level security rules — only your account can read or write your records. Supabase infrastructure is hosted on AWS.

4. Third-Party Services

keeep uses the following third-party services:

We do not use advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or crash-reporting services that transmit personal data to third parties.

5. Data Security

Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
All data transmitted to Supabase uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
Row-level security ensures your data is isolated from other users
Biometric lock (optional) adds a device-level access barrier

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access — all your data is visible in the app at all times
Export — your data lives in a standard SQLite database on your device
Delete — deleting your account removes all your data from our servers permanently. You can request account deletion by contacting us at the email below.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (expenses, categories, budgets, goals) is permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days. Local data on your device is removed when you uninstall the app.

8. Children's Privacy

keeep is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
